Title: A cozy hideaway with great amenities. I loved lounging by the private pool and exploring the charming garden. The complimentary WiFi was a nice touch. And driving on narrow roads at night was truly magical.
So enjoyable having to bring pound coins for electricity and using a cold tub for a shower. Really added an extra challenge to my relaxing getaway.

I found the Forge Cottage to be a delightful retreat with stunning views, set in a peaceful location. Upon arrival, I was immediately drawn to the cozy and charming atmosphere. Despite arriving in the evening, I had no trouble finding the cottage, thanks to the detailed directions provided. Inside, everything was thoughtfully laid out, making me feel right at home. The log burner added a touch of warmth to the chilly evenings, and the cottage's character added to the overall charm. I particularly enjoyed the tranquil surroundings, perfect for unwinding and relaxing. The proximity to a working sheep farm added a touch of authenticity to the experience.
Although the cottage was cozy, there were a few minor inconveniences. The electricity being on a meter required having coins for heating and hot water, which added an extra expense.

The Forge Cottage was adorned with charming decor, offering a warm and cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The general areas of the hotel were well-maintained, allowing for easy movement and accessibility for senior guests. I particularly enjoyed the comfortable seating areas, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a cup of tea while taking in the beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
Given the needs of senior guests, it would be ideal if the hotel offered additional handrails or grab bars in the bathrooms. This small improvement would greatly enhance the safety and comfort of senior visitors during their stay.

The location of this place is absolutely stunning with jaw-dropping views. The cottage itself is oozing with charm and character, and I was blown away by the cozy wood burner that was already lit for us upon arrival. The cleanliness and tidiness of the place were top-notch, and I was pleasantly surprised by the well-equipped kitchen for all our self-catering needs. The free wi-fi was a bonus, and even though we didn't have time to use the swimming pool, I loved that it was available. The nearby RHS Rosemoor and the coast were just a short drive away, despite the road diversions. a super tranquil and wonderful stay - highly recommended!

The owner was really friendly and helpful, which made the stay more enjoyable. The location was peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing Christmas getaway. The cottage had a lovely log burner, which added a cozy touch to the atmosphere.
There were a few negative aspects to the experience. the lack of towels was a disappointment as it meant we had to bring our own.

The hotel's warm and inviting decor made me feel right at home. The cozy lounge areas were perfect for relaxing with a cup of tea and a good book. The hotel's accessibility was a great advantage for senior guests like myself, with everything conveniently located on one level and easy to navigate.
I would have appreciated more assistance from the staff members. As older guests, we sometimes need a little extra help with our luggage or navigating the property.

What an absolutely amazing stay! The location of this charming cottage was mind-blowingly beautiful, surrounded by tranquility and stunning views. We were welcomed with a lit wood burner and the clean and tidy cottage had all the amenities we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen for our self-catering needs. The free Wi-Fi worked like a charm, and although we didn't get a chance to use the swimming pool, it was great to have that option. The owner was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The peaceful atmosphere at night and the cozy bedroom made for the perfect snuggle-up experience. The onsite facilities, such as the swimming pool, garden, and full-size tennis court, added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation spot.
